Fp3

Spoke with V&H yesterday to discuss warranty concerns and ask about the additional power increase that I would see after installing the FP3 over the HD stage one download. V&H stated the only info they had regarding the FP power increase was about 5% over stock, and no info about the power increase over hd stage one. Does this sound right? Only 5% increase over stock??? that doesn't sound like much.

Thumbs down

Mine has been having continued problems since I bought it. I have spoke elsewhere about it. Here are examples of my woes...
I'd also like to point out it has been about a month and V&H has yet to be much if any help in a resolution...

No offense but I've had an FP3 on my RG for the last 8 months and have had zero issues with it. I've autotuned and switched maps had no issues pairing with my phone or ECU. You will get the same response from somebody who uses a power vision or a screaming eagle tuner or a thunder max. Then read on another thread about somebody having issues with the same exact products you just heard others raving about......

No product is perfect there are gonna be defective units with anything especially dealing with electronics. All it takes is a faulty circuit board or a loose wire etc.
So when making a decision take in all the info collectively good & bad weigh in and then make a decision.

As posted in another thread after posting issues elsewhere I was finally got a replacement authorized. Chris Neely from vance and Hines monitors forums and finally authorized a replacement. They backed their product. Although taking over a month to do so. The new is working with minor issues during auto tune. But is connecting better than previous unit. There has been others with same issues, so Idk why they were so adement with not replacing the unit. I think the power vision from fuel moto would be a better unit with better support. JMHO

Guys! vance & Hines should be embarrassed! Buy a tts master and have it dyno by a qualified tuner.there is another thread with a guy who did a H.D. tire shreder kit and used (two different tuners.why?)when he could have done a 107 kit half the money with the same results. There are some great kits from fuelmoto,Drago,Gmr, axtell all great guys with great products.please do your home work it pays.

I think for the guy putting some pipes and maybe an air cleaner on his bike a dyno tune is a little over kill. I have had both the SE race tuner and the FP3 and let me tell you to be able to tune on the fly is a lot more convenient and cheaper than having to dyno tune all the time for some small upgrades. Now if your building monster motors with cams/heads/pistons/throttle bodies then that's a different story

I have had the FP3 on my Stock 15 RGS since Sept 15. Performance improvement was noticible. Once set up, no issues. Doing header, exhaust and a air cleaner this spring and the Map is already waiting for the upgrade. I am optimistic! I think the FP3 is an great product.

I've been running my FP3 since Feb '15 with absolutely ZERO issues. It is a noticeable increase in power over stock with my power duals / 450 Titans and the Stage 1. Love the added functionality they have added as well. Remember when using auto tune to run the auto tune for at least a full tank...
