Reasonably priced dyno tune

I live in northern Illinois. I am installing a stage 1 system. I do not have my own tuner and am technically challenged. Been calling around Harley shops to check pricing. They all use the Harley Pro tuner and charge $400.00 for the Dyno plus about $450 for the tuner. Is this right $800 to $900 for a dyno tune? I have seen threads on other forums stating that most Dyno tunes run about $200 to $300.

I paid 400 here in GA for dyno tune not including the TTS tuner. I checked around and 380-400 was the cost whether at Dealer or Indy. It sucks, I know!

2013 FLTRX, stage 1 w/vance and hine power duals and rinehart slipons, TTS mastertune and some other odds and ins. Long ways to go

I've paid $300 for a dyno tune. Now add in the cost of the tuner, whether TTS, PowerVision, SERT, etc, and yeah you could easily be at $800 for a tune.

For a 4 to 6 hour job that $ 300.00 sounds like a great deal.
That is if the tuner is good at what he does.

Thanks for the info. I will look into powersports as I am only 10 miles away. I just wanted to make sure I wasn't being gouged.

You might consider a power vision from Fuel Moto. I'm sure that Jamie has a great map for your stage 1. Save your Dyno dollars for further upgrades if you decide to do so...IMO $400 for a full-blown Dyno tune on a stage 1 is a waste of money. Don't worry about being technically challenged, Fuel Moto has great customer support and plenty of videos to get you started. Installing and using the power vision it's really very simple and easy.
