Power Vision or FP-3(soon to be released)

I need to make a decision to cool down my '12 RGU and stop the detonation. I also don't like how quickly it goes into parade mode. I've read until my eyes are bleeding but it seems that most all get these with the goal of getting the most power out of the bike. I'm much more I interested in keeping as much mpg as possible while cooling it down. All I've done so far is remove the Cat and I really like the sound so not thinking of doing a stage one. FYI.....I did not notice any heat reduction coming from the right side of the bike after removing the Cat.😩

Would the Power Vision or the soon to be released FP-3 be a better choice? Is one more capable than the other? I've read a lot about the Power Vision but am having a harder time finding in depth info regarding the FP-3. I like the idea of using my I-phone rather than attaching another screen to the bike but that's probably not the best reason to buy one versus the other. I would also like to stick with the units that flash the existing ECM rather than the piggy back type tuners. I'm thinking I will be giving Fuel Moto a call but would like to get as much info as possible on my own first.

Any info would be appreciated.

Jeff

Fp3

I just pre-ordered my FP3 from Eastern Performance ($340.00). I like the auto tune on the FP3. I just want a little cooler running bike ( mine has only gone into one cylinder mode one time in 37k miles and I live in Vegas) and to stop the decel popping. Time will tell.

Your bike must not have been stock to only go into one cylinder mode that seldom. I went out the other day when it was in the 70's out and it eventually cut out one cylinder. It wasn't even in a traffic jam, maybe just a couple lights. Maybe there's something wrong with mine. I bought it used with 16k miles but it looked to be entirely stock.

I started a thread like this already....you can find it here

I too pre-ordered the FP3 from DCP. $319.95
I'll keep you all posted on my findings.

I did see your post. It seems like nobody is doing this that has a completely stock biike like I do. What made you decide on the FP3?

I'm thinking the Power Vision is overkill but may be more of an asset if I go to sell the bike. I also like the fact that you could sell the Power Vision though you'd have to deduct the licensing fee off the top before coming up with a reasonable price. For the FP-3 there's the lower cost, not having to wire it and using my phone as the monitor. Of course using the phone could also be a negative if you want to edit any of the fuel/timing tables. Unfortunately my iPad recently decided to go to techno gadget heaven. RIP iPad😱

Just received my FP-3 yesterday along with my V&H power duels, monster squares and Grenade intake. I am going to wait until my 1K service before I install it all but, I will let everyone know how they come out. I am sure its gong to ROCK!!

My bike is stock except for the VH slip ons.
I really wasn't that interested in the extra horse power so the FP3 was the way to go for me.
I wanted a better looking air breather and a cooler running bike.
Also I really wanted the simplicity of it.
I dont know what the total cost of a tuner would be but the FP3 seemed like the cheaper way to go.

The price of the Power Vision and the FP-3 is getting closer. I realize people are getting the FP-3 for low $300s if they pre buy but it looks like $399 is the ultimate MSRP price goal by Vance and Hines. The Power Vision can be had for $449 through Fuel Moto which also includes a handlebar mount. I believe both have the same capability of autotune making a dynotune unnecessary if your not trying to bleed out every last bit of horsepower possible. I guess I was a little confused by your use of the word "tuner" in your post title. Aren't they both tuners or were you referring to a dyno tuner?

I was planning on doing a stage 1 until I removed the Cat. Now I'm afraid that a higher flow muffler will make it too loud for long hauls. I am quite surprised how much louder and better it sounds with just the Cat removed.

I checked out the American Classic Motors site and could only come up with the CanBus version selling for $399. I didn't see any mention of pre selling the soon to be released FP-3 non Canbus version.
