Dynoing with a fuel pack

My bike has the V&H digital fuel pack, and I called a nearby shop about getting it tuned on a dyno. The shop told me, I'd need to buy a new 450.00 tuner, then pay anothe 450 for the dyno work. Can't they tune the bike using the fuel pack? I am not really looking to buy a whole new tuner, just to get the bike tuned. The reason I am looking at doing this, is V&H has been hard to work with, inregards t fixing some rough running with their MAP. They don't
return my e-mails, and online chat simply doesn't work, due to them never answering. I called them once the guy gave me a change to enter, but it seemed he was in a real hurry. Whole phone call lasted a total of 1 min. His advice did nothing to correct the issue. I kinda felt like he simply made it up to get me off the phone.

They didn't seem to want to talk on the phone to me either so I ended up Emailing them and got an answer within 2 hours with a map... it was the same one I was running, so he sent me new settings for 6 of the numbers.. I am going to enter new settings tonight and test it out on Saturday

That was my experience as well with V&H customer service. Always hear of people rave about their service, but I have yet to experience that. Or have them actually remedy an issue other than refunding me. Not many will dyno with a tuner theyre not familiar with or recommend. FP3 being one of the worst. Youd be better off with another tuner anyway IMHO. I'm in the process of replacing my FP3 now as well. Time and money being the determining factor in the length of the process.
