Cobra Powerpro Fi2000

Well I have a problem. First of all I have a 2012 Custom 103" so I put a nocat headpipe, Rinehart 4" slipons w/ 2" HP baffles and a SE snorkle intake with a Cobra Powerpro FI2000 autotuner installed + the stage one download and everthing worked great. So I tore my bike down to do several cosmetic mods this winter along with Freedom performance tuck and under true dual headpipe with the same slipons then added a PM intake. I take the bike out for a short 70 mile ride and it is running like crap getting terrible gas milage and at idle fuel is splattering on the ground coming out the exhaust and the check engine light comes on. So I remove the tuner and the check engine light stays off the bike sounds great and runs Ok with more poping on deceleration and noticable less torque + a dead spot in the throttle. I have emailed Cobra and will update this thread when and if I here back. I think I am going with a Thundermax.

Did you put the sensors back in the reverse locations of where they should be on the new head pipe? Obviously the bike is now calling calling for "more gas" should be a simple fix.

Thumbs up

So far I am impressed with customer service at Cobra over the phone (Still no responce on the email) It looks like they are sending me a new tuner. Andre seems to be a great tech and is very willing to help.

Wow, I will be a longtime Cobra customer, they are sending me a new updated version and I bought the tuner used on eBay. The Paypal receipt was good enough. The tech gave me his cell number and said to call anytime. To bad everyone can't have this good of customer service.

Sorry to say my luck with Cobra has not been so good. First unit caused DTCs and running rich. They sent out a replacement unit still running rich 28 mpg city and 32 is the best on highway. Strong fuel smell from exhaust in the garage after shut down Decided to cut my loses and just order a unit from Fuel Moto. I didn't want to chance cylinder damage from over fueling. I have nothing bad to say about their customer service, just didn't have good luck with their product. Hopefully I can get either Cobra or Frank for DCP to take it back

Re: Cobra Powerpro Fi2000

I have running a t-max with autotune for over a year now. Stock motor. Love it. it learns as you ride for optimum performance and has options out the ass when your computer is hooked up to it.
