"New" SE Pro Street Tuner

Okay ladies, what do you make of this? Just from the price drop alone, I wonder the parameters of this tuners ability to do anything other than load pre-confided Maps to match your stage.

Screamin' Eagle Pro Street Tuner | Specialty Tools | Official Harley-Davidson Online Store

In yesteryear......the Street Tuner was $250 and the Pro Tuner was $450 and the extra $200 was evident in what the Pro could do........I don't see MoCo leaving the same programming abilities in the new tuner and knocking $150 off the cost....when does MoCo reduce costs?

I am wondering if MoCo is getting around the whole EPA thing by "Leaving the Cat In" and then using this thing to "load safe maps" on the new bikes?

Thoughts?

I have one. It has tuning ability unlike the old one but it only lets you add a certain percentage of fuel and timing and the idle can not be adjusted. 81 hp 92ftlbs with full header and ventilator air cleaner.

I watched the training video. One thing I noted is that you can not change the RPM limits.

I am not sure if the previous version allowed that - I would guess that it did. I am running a PCV now that allows for that to be changed so I would assume that the SERT would allow for it.

That's right! And it is EPA compliant. On top of that it probably cost harley 12.00$ to make it in China! ain't that a bitch.and every salesman is told to sell one with a stage 1 upgrade. I really feel bad for those who don't know these games. I guess that's why there are great forums like ours.

So If you reprogram your ecm with TTS and you go back in and reprogram it with the original file is there a digital fingerprint left that can be seen by the HD tech.

I'm guessing no new bike for you today? Must of just missed you today. Did have an interesting conversation with the service manager today.
