To buy a tuner or get flashed ???

I prefer a Flash but that has nothing to do with tuning. Anyway I have a 2016 RG with zero mod's. I want to put on a stage one air intake, I am looking at a screaming Eagle one. A header pipe True dual or 2-1-2, I am looking at the Rush ceramic headers and as for slip on's, Looking at CFR's. I am not going to do any more than this to the motor besides upkeep. With those mod's in mind with no further mod's would I be better of getting a flash or tuner ?? What's the most bang for my buck ?? Thanks

Any day above ground is a good day.

To each his own, but if it were me, I'd stay away from the true duals and go with a 2-1-2, or even a 2-1.
With those mods, I think you're gonna need a tuner. I did the same mods you are looking at using a Fuel Moto 2-1-2 & a Fuel Moto air cleaner. I used a Powervision and flashed the proper tune into mine, which was installed by Fuel Moto at the time of purchase, followed by a few auto tune sessions.
Either way, if you choose an add on tuner or a flash tuner, you're probably going to need to purchase some type of tuner to make the bike run right, and so you don't destroy the engine by running it too lean.

Consider the Power vision . Flexible, Easy does a lot more that just tune. Will do a fine autotune without buying more stuff. Buy from Fuel moto get free support with maps and double warranty.

You still need to buy a tuner! Do your research!

x3 powervision I had one on my Vrod with airbox mod, K&N filter and full exhaust.. I ran the autotune a lot for about the first 3 weeks (the can tune will get you going but its not close enough) later that year I went to a dyno shootout and the guy running the dyno was super impressed at the curve and asked who tuned my bike..

A ECM flash will do the job of protecting your motor from detonation but you will still be running lean. The dealer flash, which is what I think you are referring to, needs to maintain California EPA compliance (I noticed you live in Ca.). A tunning devise has no restrictions in that regard, so your motor will run cooler and probably slightly stronger. After doing similar mods as you have described on my 15 RGS, I did a dealer flash. Soon afterwards I decided to try the TTS Master Tune and after few auto-tune runs it produced a noticeable difference in terms power and a smoother and cooler running motor.

Power Vision X4.... now... if you don't want to spend that much... ( not sure if they are ready for the M8, though.. ) the FP3 is a great tuner for around $300... had one and loved it...

I will also jump in and agree that I would NOT do true duals... if you like the look.. go with a 2-1-2 like Power Duals X pipe or the JAckpot to keep the performance aspects and gain over a stock headpipe... the 2-2 will be a loss in comparison.
