stage 1 with no tuner

2017 RGU so i can't find a straight answer on this. the hd tuner does/ does not modify fuel, just spark. don't know...either way i have an fp3 on the list for the 1st. got my SE air kit today, the one that goes under stock cover. i have the stock pipes drilled out. can i put the air cleaner on the bike with out the tuner or should i wait? i understand that the bike comes lean and will be lean until i get a true dyne tune or TTS/PV tuner. thats not for a year or so. what I'm looking for is with the sneaky peat and drilled pipes hurt the bike? 2017 road glide ultra

Since you can't get a straight answer, I won't give you one either, lol.. I have been told by the infamous "they", that you can either take the catalytic converter out of stock exhaust or put slip ons on without a tuner.. I've heard if anything is done with airflow you must have a tuner.. sorry, that's just what "they" say..

When I decatted my 2016 RGU it did pop on deceleration for a few miles but appears to have worked itself out.. maybe that'll be the case with new air system.. but I can't say for sure.

Change air flow a tuner is a must. That is fact.

I'm with these guys ^^^^

Change your air coming in and you really need a tune/tuner. No sense in riding a pony that can't run the way it needs to.

If all you changed were the slip ons, you're fine. Tuner not needed
