M8 stage 1 pro tuner install

Looked through old threads and did see one on this. Slipons are on, picked up my hd ventilator and pro tuner yesterday. Has anybody downloaded the software and done the stage 1 tune and install yet themselves? If so, any surprises or words to the wise before I attempt? I know this is a basic tune but have read where many have been happy with it.

Just for the record, this is part of my 2 year "still under warranty" plan that may or may not change when warranty is done-you get the idea.

Thanks in advance

I did the exact same thing for the same reason. SE.intake, Pro Street tuner & slip ons. Pretty straight forward download. There was only one map available for the 107 when I did mine.

TY galooch, did you run the autotune feature? How does it run?

TY, Matt

Sorry for the delayed response. I didn't run the autotune. I wanted to see how it was just by downloading the preconfigured map. I have to say, my seat of the pants dyno noticed an increase in power although I would guess it's more about the increased air flow than the tune itself.

It's both... The increase in air would do you no good if it weren't tuned properly.

Did you notice less heat from the Cat with the Stage I ? I'm getting a lot of heat from my stock 107...

I have not finished stage 1 yet, I will follow up in the next couple weeks when completed. I suspect the heat from the cat won't change.

Maybe someone else will chime in.

I'm in the midwest and on any 85' temp and above day, my stock Cat really radiates the heat.
