Gasoline Question Ethenol Free?

I can now conveniently purchase Ethanol free gasoline. My question is what is better for my bike? Ethanol Free gas at 89 octane of E10 gasoline at 92 octane?

I find my bike runs hotter on lower octane blends of corn fuel. I thought about buying Dino fuel @89 and adding octane booster, but seemed like too much trouble especially filling up on the road.

If I have to explain ,you wouldn't under stand anyway.

If I can get pure gas I do. I always top off with pure gas from my local station before I park the bikes. I think it is more important to have pure gas while the bikes sit than while on a trip.

Pure-gas.org

I counted 4 stations in Tampa proper that are 90+.

I run no less than 90 non ethanol. I usually get and extra 2-3 mpg with non E.

If 89 is the best you can do I would run the 92 E10.

Pure gas.org has apps for your phone too.

The main issues with ethanol are the lower fuel mileage and storage. Takes more ethanol blended fuel to do the same amount of work as straight gasoline. Ethanol will draw moisture out of the air and makes a corrosive mess sitting in the fuel system over time. Octane affects the ability of a fuel to resist uncontrolled detonation. Air cooled motor under high heat and load, I would prefer the higher octane rating. Parking the bike for the winter, I go to straight gas and fuel stabilizer for the last couple of tanks.

I don't think it really matters. I run whatever is in the pump when I pull up just as long as it is 91 octane or better. I been doing this in my 08 ever since it's been new and I never had any issues that were fuel related. Remember alcohol removes water in the fuel system and now a days the gaskets are all alcohol resistant and they don't deteriorate. Most fuel additives that are suppose to clean your fuel systems and remove water are alcohol based, I don't use any fuel additives in my fuel system at all.

your bike is designed to be able to run on e10. so if your only choices are low octane ethanol free, and e10 of the correct octane, then I would go with the e10.

I understand the concept of reality, but find it too confining for a way of life.
