De-catted head pipe, do I need a tuner?

Hey guys,

I did some searching but I couldn't find a straight answer so I apologies if this has been asked before and I couldn't find it.

So I just purchased a de-catted head pipe. I will be ordering a power vision, slip-ons and a high flow air cleaner in about 2-3 weeks.

My question is, can I install the de-catted head pipe without a tuner? If I do, will it just cause some minor popping on decel? Or would I better off waiting the 3-4 weeks (order + shipping time)??

Only reason I'm asking is any upgrade I get I will obsess over it until I get it installed, but I can convince myself to wait if it will be beneficial in the long run. My instinct tells me it will be fine, but I don't like taking chances with my baby.

De-catting alone, you're OK, the ECM will compensate. You will need the tuner when you do any of the other mods.
