Is the XIED enough?

V&H Twin Slash slip ons, stock 2013 head pipe, SE Stage I A/C. FL XIED 10.

I understand it is not optimal, but is it enough to avoid damage to engine or pipes due to overly lean AF?

Greg

running the xied for a year now, no problems. If you pull the plugs they are a nice tan color. get more power with a tuner but the resistors work ok.

I have the SE ac, but not installed yet. Bike runs fine.

Arguing with myself on IF I should install it.

Based on your original post alone... your concern about running lean. Install em if you already have em. It might not be optimal but it will be richer than what you are running now. If you don't like em, take em off, easy.

Gotcha. I wouldn't hesitate to install the A/C. The stock box flows pretty well already and I doubt you'll feel much if any difference. You will have more intake noise. In my opinion, the exhaust is where most of the restriction exists, at least until you pull the OEM headpipe.
