Lost Power Vision MAP - what to do?

I have a stage one upgrade on my '13 RG. I went to do an auto tune session and the MAP Fuel Moto sent me was gone from the Power Vision. I'm sure I messed something up - nothing new for me.

Anyway, all I could do at that point was to load the stock tune and proceed to ride for the auto tune session. I then flashed this to ECM with no problems.

My question is this, is there any advantage to starting from one of Fuel Moto's tunes (and then doing an auto tune) or did I accomplish the same thing by doing an auto tune session starting from the bikes stock tune?

Would appreciate any advice.

Pete

You did okay the tune you received from FM is just a starting point. The bike will run good with it but a auto tune will make it run great. I thi:,nk everyone that has at least tried the auto tune. If you call FM they will send you another tune.

In my opinion using the stock tune on a stage 1 for a base will work just fine. If you want to alter some stuff, have at it.

Not to mention, you could call FM and I'm sure they will send you a new base tune if you want.

I would call Fuel Moto and politely ask for the map or look for stage 1 on the Dynojet web site. The stock map will work fine for auto tune basic, but it will not make correct adjustments to the upper KPa ranges (80 and above) because the a/f needed for best performance at those throttle loads is outside the ability of the stock narrow band sensors to monitor and adjust.

If you're talking about one of the 6 custom tunes.... you probably overwrote it. It's probably still on your computer. When you save an auto tune.... save it to a different slot. Don't overwrite qa tune that you want to keep.

When using Auto Tune I would highly recommend starting with one of our tunes rather than the stock tune as we have changed many of the tables including the AF targets, throttle blade tables, acc enrichement etc.. and the timing tables are going to be very different in most cases.

If you have purchased from Fuel Moto and want a copy of the tune we loaded in your PV or need a map for a new combination you can use the map request form at www.fuelmotousa.com
