Ultimate Seats.

So I used to have one of these seats on my old bike which was a VTX and it was great.

I now see they make them for H-D's. I was just curious if anyone has gotten one for their Roadie?

They range in price from $650-800. come in two piece or two-up single piece.

I'm pretty sure with my past experience that I'm going to be purchasing one but was just curious.

I have one that I bought from a RG Forum member, I like it, but haven't done enough riding with it to give a detailed description, I use my Mustang 99% of the time, I need to take a good 3 or 400 mile ride with it to know more.

Before you spend that kind of money, I'd consider a Mean City Cycle seat mod. There best mod is half that price. http://www.meancitycycles.com/

I had one on my EG Ultra and loved it. When I bought the RG Ultra it was a no brainer, I bought one for it too. THis one though is disapointing. I just finished a 3000 mile trip and immediately took it off. It sat me up higher in the seat, makes you feel like your sitting on top of the seat. Also sat me forward so after an hur the area on the backside of my legs just below my A** started to hurt. This is where the side of the seat ended so I was sitting on the seam more or less. I noticed from before it seems lke ever seat you get from them is put together different.
looking for a new seat now

I had an Ultimate on my '06 Stratoliner. Kinda pricey. Nice back rest insert in the seat itself, doesn't attach to the frame and easy to adjust. Great seat, although hard, very comfortable for 300-400 miles.

Bought an HD Hammock and don't see how I ever did without it. No squirming, just comfortable.

great for some

I rode back about 5 years ago for about a week but returned it. very nice seat but not made for big guys around 300lbs. they were very nice to work with on my return but that was my impression

I had a Big-Boy Ultimate seat for my VTX1800 and it never aged a day in 10 years and held it's shape perfectly and I went about 88000 km on it.

I bought the midrider Ultimate 2-piece Road Glide seat and after about 20000 km, it's not too bad, but nothing like the old VTX seat. I can ride about 600 km easily enough, but my tailbone sure feels it. The passenger seat is much better, but rocks from side to side a bit. Thinking about a different seat.

BTW 1.6 km = 1 mile
