LePera Monterey custom leather seat

Just installed my custom ordered LePera seat. Monterey model no studs, full leather, biker gel.
30 miles so far. Both with & without the backrest. Extremely comfortable. Sits you back & down a bit. More lower back support & more upright seating position.
Have not installed matching pillion yet.

I just ordered my second LePera, this time with the biker gel and backrest. I really like my Maverick and had biker gel put in it after the fact and found it increased my riding time and comfort. So when I decided to go with a larger seat with backrest, I went with the gel but just in the drivers seat as my wife is on the fence. Once we get it in we'll test if for a while and if she decides she wants it after all, I'll just send it back to have them install it. And when I do that I might even go leather!

I love the LePera quality. Great seats. Congrats!

Thanks it's a great seat. I did not do the gel in the pillion. I did not like the studs so it would need to be a custom order. I figured do it right the first time so I got the leather. Extremely good quality. Great customer service.
The first stock seat I had I did find comfortable. But the replacement stock seat, post accident, I hate and found uncomfortable.
Looking forward to a long ride this weekend.

Forgot to mention the LePera is much better than the Corbin I had on my 97 sportster. I would never buy another Corbin.

Looks great. I am a LePera fan. Ordered a Maverick with drivers backrest in leather last year. Most comfy seat I've ever owned. And great customer service on the order, called direct to the company and had a flawless dealing with them. Showed up almost to the day they said it would.

I've had both LePera and Corbin, and I can't say anything bad about either of them. I had a Maverick with the biker gel on my '03 Sportster that I could ride on all day, and I bought a Corbin 2-Up Tourer for my RoadGlide Ultra that is just the perfect seat for me, again, I can ride all day without a squirm, no hot spots, and I had good experiences with both companies customer service. Build quality is great on both and I would buy both again.

Just sayin'

I have heard from some that claim leather adds yet more comfort as it stretches more, breathes better and doesn't get as hot. It's a healthy upgrade price though. Like I said, if the wife decides she wants the biker gel after all and I end up sending the seat back for that, I might just do leather as well. At least the seating area if not the whole shebang.

I had a Corbin on my BMW and it was okay but it was so hard and I'd ultimately get butt fatigue fairly quick.

How was the performance after your long ride this past weekend?

I am glad somebody likes their Maverick, not working for me or my wife. I ordered it last fall with leather cover and gel in both areas, and have put over 1500 miles on it, just not working for me or my wife. She feels she has no room and its hard to her, me the tailbone still hurts and get discomfort on the inner thighs, so it's going to be for sale when I find another brand or model.

I noticed a significant difference between the Mavericks with and without the backrest. The ones without have a much greater depth on the back vertical surface. I went with the ASTech mod to my Maverick which uses their version of biker gel (everyone has their own, it seems) and then they layer decreasing densities of memory foam on top of that. I find it very comfortable. My wife is on the fence. No backrest on mine so she has plenty of room.

When I get my Continental in a few days it will be interesting to compare and contrast the LePera biker gel feel to the ASTech mod. The Continental is a larger seat than the Maverick so I'm hoping that she'll still have room even with the addition of the back rest. Also hoping I won't have the tailbone issue. I paid for the return option so if we don't like it, it goes back for a full refund minus the shipping. I'll be sure to chime in with another detailed thread.

I hope you find a seat that works for you and the wife.
