Pick your poison: Leather or Vinyl

Thinking of spending the extra to get a Le Pera Maverick 2 Up in all leather. Lets hear the pros and cons from everybody.

Had a leather Corbin Dual Tour on my old Dyna and I loved it.

Whenever I am faced with two Evils,
I always choose the one I haven't tried before.

LePera uses higher quality leather than Corbin & you can get full leather or leather seat area vinyl sides. I got full leather & was worth the extra cost.

Give me leather over vinyl anytime. Ages well and lets your ass breathe better than vinyl.

Leather. I can think of nothing that a vinyl seat can do better.

I'm pretty positive that None of my Corbin seats had leather. The LePera I paid for all leather and its way ahead in the hot ass comfort.

I've owned both. A Corbin on my sportster & LePera on my RG. Both used full grain leather but LePera smoother, blemish free. Almost like comparing Ford to Ferrari leathers. If I had to choose between getting a free new Corbin seat or buying a new LePera, I would buy the LePera

More maintenance with leather, but worth it . With vinyl I usually put a sheepskin pad on the seat.

I think the only advantage to vinyl is, it repeals water better.

I'm going to partially disagree with you Gary. You are correct, at the base level, vinyl will repel better. However, a well maintained, properly conditioned, leather seat will repel water like a ducks back. My seat wipes off the same as the next guy with a vinyl cover. So I amend my previous post to say I can think of nothing that vinyl does better, if you're willing to put some time and effort into your leather seat. Thanks Gary. 👍🏻😁
