Quick Release Tour Pack

I installed a HD quick release tour pack on my 2017 RGU. I mostly love it. Its like having two bikes in one.

I have one problem that I'm hoping you folks can help me solve. The original TP mounting base is two levels. One of the levels has little holes that the wiring harnesses are attached to. The quick release base only has one level and no where to secure the wiring harnesses. The first time I rode with the TP, the harnesses left a small scratch in the fender's clear coat.

Since then, I wrap the harnesses and they lay on the fender. It's inconvenient to wrap them each time. Any ideas would be welcome.

Pictures of the two bases are attached.

Thanks
Emil

My first thought is "if" you have enough slack in the harness drill a small hole in the QD rack and add a harness clip. Something like this. https://www.ebay.com/itm/10x-electri...-/282264154513

Or if you need some more slack you could use one of these and just leave it loose enough to pull the wiring connector though it.

Would velcro tape work?

It would make accessing the harness easy. 3M makes some real industrial strength tape. I use it to hold the radar detector on mine.
