RoadTech 660

Just received my Zumo, do these come with traffic? I don't see a doodad on any of the wires to receive the signal. Also lifetime maps?

Check page 16 of the manual

If you have a 660LM, then it comes with lifetime maps. If it doesn't have the LM, then it doesn't. When you register your Zumo at the Garmin website, it will show the LM or not behind the number.

I have a 665, that comes with XM. That is where I got my Traffic and Weather from. I have not seen Garmin provide any traffic info.

I used to have the Traffic and Weather, but neither one proved useful to me. The Weather was more annoying than useful. For example:

On the trip to Shark Week III, thru the open plains of Kansas, where you can see for hundreds of miles, it kept interrupting my music to tell me rain was in the area. The only problem was, looking around for those hundreds of miles in the sky, NOT ONE CLOUD could be seen. I have no idea where it got the info, but somewhere there was probably someone getting drenched by rain that their GPS did not know about.

Never really used the traffic piece so I have no idea if it is worth it. Whenever I got into a city, I'd stop and check Google Maps on the iPhone if I wanted traffic info.
