660 ball mount size

What size ball mount do I need to hook up zumo to ram mouth plate. I ordered a 1" ball off amazon and it's too big, although it says it is the size. I don't want to hard wire yet. I will use car hook up to cig lighter and ram mount.

Or to be clearer, what non powered cradle do I need to hook up to a ram. Garmin doesn't seem to be getting it and keep trying to sell me a powered cradle that comes with the unit.

Call Ram Mount! Tell them what model GPS you are running and they will have the cradle you need, then you will need the diamond mounting plate that has a 1 " ball that screws to the back of the cradle. I use a Garmin Nuvi 1450 on my bike and I got all my mounting stuff from Ram Mount. By the way the MC cradle is different then the car cradle, the GPS snaps in MC cradle making it more secure then the car cradle.

Ram states that they don't sell a cradle for the 660. Garmin doesn't either. WTF

When you talk to Ram Mount tell them you need Ram Mount product # RAM-HOL-GA23U. This cradle fits the Garmin 600, 610, 650, 660 & 670 and it cost $10.95. You will still need the diamond mounting plate that will attach to the cradle.

Wrong turn. The part listed above is for Nuvi not zumo. Just came. Disappointed.
Going to stick it with auto suction cup to he tach like suggested. Just had it there and it was secure. Will have a backup strap.
Going to hard wire with quick disconnecters when I get back from Bike week. Or maybe do it next week.

Sorry! I see that you can get the plate with the 1" ball mount that would attach to the back of your cradle. After that all you would need is the arm and the ball mount for the handlebars. I did see a cig lighter power cord that was available for the zumo 660.

I am going to call them Monday but it looks like these items are mounts for Ram. I will still need a cradle for the zumo.
