XM navweather??

I bought a new Harley Davidson Garmin 665 to have xm radio, navtraffic and navweather. I was able signed up for the XM radio subscription through seriiusxm and then tried to add navtraffic and navweather to my subscription, they told me my system wasn't compatable with navtraffic and navweather. Anyone had this issue, is their something that I'm missing here? I understood that the Garmin 665 was fully capable of running all of the xm systems.

Help!

Thanks,

Don

HD says it does the weather and I have seen the weather on my Garmin665 so I don't know why the xm people say it can't, call them and ask for someone that kows what they are talking about.

I have the Roadtech Zumo 665 as well. My traffic and weather work fine, but it took a while to convince XM. The first operator i spoke two told me that my system wasn’t compatible i actually had to read the description to the operator that was on the box. I was transferred to a few operators and techs but after bitching enough they were able to get it working... over all it took about 4 hours on the phone, with me next to the bike to make sure the weather traffic was working.

Dont let them tell you it doesnt work...

Let us know how it turns out! You would think that XM would know about their own devices...

I finally got the navweather on my road tech zumo 665. I had to talk with Garmin support and they gave me the direct line to XM Aviation and Marine and they took care of it in about 15-20 minutes. Works great now.

I had a heck of a time convincing XM too. Their customer service is lacking and it seems like every time I call them, I end up spending more money to renew my subscription.

I try to do as much as I can online rather than dealing with customer service on the phone.

I found the weather updates to be annoying! The damn thing beeps every 10 minutes some times to tell me there is rain in the area! NO SHIT! I find it a nusance more than a help and will not renew it or traffic. Two times traffic nav has tried to re-route me and both times I was able to get staight thru. I think I will decide when to re-route and then I won't need the traffic nav either. The XM radio is awesome and I love it. forget the rest!!!
