I just installed the 665 and now trying to find the best spot for the antenna. I am trying to put it somewhere other than under the fairing so i can use it in the other vehicle. Itis the puck style non magnetic. Thanks in advance

I have a tech mount base for my Zumo that includes a spot for the base plate for the xm antenna. Works great.

Enjoy the Ride!

Is the antenna hard wired? If not, pick up a 2nd one online and mount one in the fairing and use the other one for other vehicles.

You can't do this, the Antenna IS the SiriusXM unit.

I have my 665 in the Garmin motorcycle mount/integrated power cable etc. and that in an Iron Aces mount. I attached a Garmin 6-foot extension cable part number is 010-10617-02 to the wiring from the mount. I drilled a hole in the glove box large enough to run the wire into it. I used bubble wrap to fill the lower portion of the glove box so the antenna lies flat. Now you can transfer it to another vehicle or take it off the bike at night in the motel parking lot.

I ran a Garmin Extension Cable through a rubber o-ring to prevent the cable from rubbing and fraying and then drilled a hole in the right glove box just large enough to fit the o-ring and cable. You can then use whatever you have lying around (packing peanuts, bubble wrap... etc) to fill the glove box to the point the antenna sits flat. Now you can plug or unplug the antenna anytime you want.

Clarification. The antenna is not for GPS but for XM satellites. XM subscriptions are tied to the antenna not the device in this setup.

The 665 works just fine as a GPS without the antennae puck attached but there will be no XM.

Are you sure it is not magnetic? Mine is. I agonized over it's location and never found a suitable option other than just sticking it to the tank. I think my best option might have been to figure out how to stick it in the space above the radio but inside the windshield. Just never came up with a look that was clean enough to suit me. One benefit of that is being able to shift it around when signal gets blocked by me or the fairing.

Post pics if your figure out something cool.

I've changes XM antennas a few times looking for better reception. This had zero effect on my subscription, which is tied to the XM receiver, not the antenna. For what it's worth, I get great reception with a home "clamshell" antenna velcroed to the inner fairing on top of the radio mount. Yes it's visible. No, I don't care.
