GPS cable removal.

Afternoon all.

I an the newowner of a 2012 RG with GPS -the GPS and wanting to removed the hardwired cable from the bike and use a standard mount and waterproof GPS.

How difficult of a task is this. I is wired into the faring I would assume to have access to the audio.

I am not paying the money to get a replacement. and I want to free up the real estate on my handlebar.

I have searched the forum but was unable to see anyone that has done this.

If you know of a link, please post it and I will close this one.

Nah, once I saw how the front was to be taken off it was a piece of cake. I was afraid that it was integrated in the radio. But is was just for power tapping off the headlights.
