Boom 6.5 voice prompts

I finally figured out how to turn off the navigation voice prompts on the GPS. The problem is that every time I cycle power (shut the bike off and turn back on later) the checkmark comes back on voice prompts and I have to turn it off again. I have been going to setup / feedback / enable prompts and making sure it isn't checked. That works as long as power is on. Is there another way that "permanently" turns the voice prompts off?

Thanks

Maybe try routing the navigation prompts out to the headset or while it is talking/prompting turn the volume all the way down to mute. The Voice prompt volume can only be adjusted while its active. In settings menu you can select output for music, Nav prompts, etc..

When the volume is all the way down (mute), it still breaks in over the audio and you listen to nothing for a bit

Boom navi voice prompts

Maybe I have missed what your are looking for but I have the 6.5 boom system and my navi does not prompt for anything unless I have an active route. If you are getting navi directions when starting up your bike, from the navi route screen on the right side about midway highlight the small stack of lines. When clicking on the stack, it will give the option of canceling the route. Hope this helps, or I have missed what the issue is and sorry about that.

I'm referring to while an active route is going. There are times I don't need or want a voice interrupting

I dont think there is a solution. If I have an active route, when I turn the key on, I just go ahead and navigate to feedback and disable prompts. Its a PIA but at this point, I am used to it

Mine has only done this twice, and each time I have pushed the "voice command" button (?) located on the same switch as the left turn signal (the one with the face with the lines to the left of the face). I don't have a headset, and I don't want voice prompts etc, so the last thing I need is my radio cutting out. It might be a coincidence that the voice prompts went away (I was also pushing everything else and surfing the menus) but the prompts did go away, so I'm filing it under the "whatever works" category. I've personally found that the more 'brain' we give our vehicles, the more it 'decides' what it's going to do. It's great when it works, but it sucks when it says, "Im sorry Dave, but I can't do that."

What version of the Infotainment system software are you running? Might be worth installing (or re-installing) the latest just in case. I've had this happen on occasion with v1.21.0.4, but not consistently.
