OEM GPS Antenna Mounting Location

So I made a fair buy on a gently used 6.5GT head unit to replace my stock 4.3 head unit.

The 6.5 has GPS and the seller was kind enough to include the Harley GPS antenna. I'm going to swap head units tomorrow, but unsure where the factory mount location is for the 6.5 GPS antenna.

I see that it has two sided sticky tape on it so it appears to be a peel and stick affair, but just need to know where to stick it?

And before anyone gets cute............ No I don't want to put it there

When you take the outer faring off it sits at the top of the inner fairing on the left side (if your standing in front of the bike looking at it). Kind of above the speaker area. That's where mine is. You will need new double face tape.

Currently bikeless but sticking around for knowledge.

Yep, on the metal plate between the radio and speaker pod. Right on top. Easy.

Perfect. Thanks.

Just wanted it to look as stock as possible. I see the metal plate in a picture I took after installing my amp. Looks like you guys are talking about the metal plate on the left hand (looking from front) side of radio. Located between radio and speaker pod and slightly in front / over the gage housing.

That is exactly where I was talking about but I lied. Now that I'm standing here looking at it, it's on the speaker housing right next to it. The rear inboard corner of the speaker housing. And a picture for good measure.

Funny stuff right there

I didn't log back into the forums until this morning and saw your update. I buttoned the bike back up on Friday but mounted the GPS antenna on the metal plate. I went to the right side, since my BT355 was already clogging up the left side.

The fairing fit back on without issue so I guess I'm good to go. Haven't messed much with the navigation yet, but I do know that I was getting a lock even with the bike in the garage.

Thanks for the photo!
