RAM Tough-Claw with X-Grip (Iphone)

I wasn't sure where to post this so why not in the GPS section!?

I'm looking for a good phone mount that can be removed easily (without tool) to hold my phone while using GPS. I have Yaffee bars so the mount would be exposed to wind which makes me a little concerned the X-Grip might not be strong enough to hold everything in place ... phone included!

Anyone using one? Any issues or feedback would be appreciated. Also some PICS would be appreciated!

Thanks all!

I have the RAM but with the more permanent mounting hardware. My phone is held in pretty damn good and I’ve never been concerned with it being “blown or shaken” out. It is not the cleanest looking setup, especially without the phone, but I think it works pretty well. Hope this helps.

My son uses this mount on a Suzuki V-Strom and has never had any problem with it.

This is probably the best one they make IMO, the fact that you can change positions on where you mount it, also that you can take it with you is awesome, secures my X with no problems and I'm never concerned of it falling.

Ordered it today only $49 .... figured if I didn’t like it not much lost. I also ordered a drink holder $36! I need those energy drinks close for the ride to Sturgis this year!

I have that a X grip and have it mounted on the iron aces base. I used it with my ipones 6/7 flawlessly for 3 years. Great holder!

I use the tough claw mount with an X-grip XL.

Used with the tethers it's kept my phone attached to the handlebars on my victory when I went down at 55mph and when high sided on the highway when the rear sprocket let go.

Use it on my 15 RG and have zero complaints still. I would trust it to hold much more than just a phone if I had to.

I used one on my Street Glide when I had it and still have one on my Dyna. I used them before the tethers came out and never had any problems, and now with the tethers even less to worry about.

I went with perch mount ciro cup and phone mounts. Appear to be good quality. Have yet to ride with them installed.

Ditto what Matt stated. The Iron Aces base with the ram claw has been a great addition to have for my cell phone. There was nowhere to mount a phone on my Road 6 custom bars, but Iron Aces was the perfect solution.
