Garmin Zumo 660 GPS but it not the HD branded Road Teck version. Does anyone know of a HD dealer POI file for this unit? You can't use the one made for the Road Teck as it only works with those units.

i loaded the dealer poi on the garmin zumo 660 that i used to have and it even put an icon on the screen that was just like the road tech so all i had to do was just hit that to find the nearest dealer. it was very simple to do, but i'll be damned if i can find the source where i originally found the instructions.

check out this thread on the cvo forum, it may give you some help: https://www.cvoharley.com/smf/index.php?topic=72673.0

Every time I have tried to do it the links for the file won't load onto my GPS. Someone even had made a file for the Zumo but it isn't complete and it is now 8 years old.

I have had the RT 550 for ten years or so .. I also had a file that had the dealer POI and icon that was used on another GPS , dont ask where I found them , I dont think they update them anymore ..

Check the zumo forums , I am over there as FLTRU103 , havent been there in a few years though

This is the only place I have been able to find it but and the list was updated in 2018 for Harley Dealers. But it sure would be nice if you could use the one from Garmin that is made for the Road Teck.

But the list isn't as easy to get to IMHO as it would be if it was linked in the POI area on the GPS. I have not figured out how to do this or if it is even possible.

Well I solved my issue with my Zumo 660 and the Harley dealers.

I just picked up a used Road Teck 660 so I will have all the dealers now. I'll give my 660 to my daughter to use in her Jeep and on her Honda. Just means I have to install the charging mount on her bike.

Well about a month ago I bought a Zumo Road Tech 660 of Ebay and then bought the lifetime map updates for it. Here I was planning on keeping my RGU for a long time and just fixin it up as I went along. The lo and behold a DANG NAB CVO RGU was for sale at a dealer near me. So what the heck did I do????
I went and bought that CVO RGU...…….

Darn it now I don't need that Road Tech anymore. And people are telling me I am asking to much for it. With cell phones and tablets that are a lot cheaper I get the point except that most of those items aren't weather proof like a Road Tech. Plus I've seen cell phones shutdown from being to hot from sitting out in the sun. So while the Road Tech might be old school I still like it over a phone or tablet for a bike.

It's in the classified if any one is interested.

wait, what? you had to buy the lifetime updates? i bought the road tech 660 and a garmin brand 660 several years ago and never paid for a map update.

good luck with your sale. fwiw, i sold both of mine for $150 each. probably too cheap, but they sold quick.

When I first bought my regular 660 it came with free map updates for 2 years I think it was. When I bought this Road Tech 660 it hadn't been updated for a few years so I tried to update it and it wanted me to pay. One time update was $40 something and lifetime updates were $90. So of course I opted for the lifetime updates. The good part is it stays with the unit so who ever buys it will be able to update it. To me that is a plus in trying to sell it I hope.

I know I am asking a high price but figure go high and let someone offer less.
