got a question for Garmin experts
I'm trying to delete music from my Garmin since I have an iPod now, and no connection on new head unit to plug it in anyway. When plugged into my computer I can't find any music files on it but I can still find music on the unit itself. I wanted to delete them to make room for maps or whatever else. Any clues?

Silly Question but :
Is the music on the Garmin or an SD card
when you open the Garmin , it should list all the files in the unit

its the Zumo 660. I thought it was on the card and when you remove the card they don't show up, however, when I put my card into the computer I can't find them. They just don't seem to be there in any of the files. I've looked and looked.

Do you have the "Show Hidden Files" option set on your computer?

Plug the 660 into the PC, then do a search for *.mp3 on the 660 and the sd card. You should find them that way.

I edited my above post......
Plug the GPS into your PC and search for MP3s on both the GPS and the SD card. Search from the root, and include subfolders.
They are probably buried in a subfolder.
