Mounting of Zumo 665

I am not a big fan of the handlebar mount for the Zumo. I am wondering if others feel the same way. If you mounted the cradle in another place where, and how.

Thanks.

I have the Iron Aces Zumo Mount and love it.
It's a great item from an awesome company and an easy install.
Comes with very detailed instructions.

I could not agree more. Iron Aces is a great company, customer service is 2nd to none. Instructions are very detailed. Easy installation.

Mine is bar mounted, I've been pondering the Iron Aces mount for awhile.

The biggest challenge I have is not the GPS itself, but the XM receiver. I swap the Zumo and the puck between two bikes, and I've yet to find a good place to mount it. I have Velcro on the XM puck, and right now I stick it on the inner fairing above the radio. It works, but looks like hell and is not completely level. I tried a second Ram mount on the right bar, looked even worse...

Curious where other folks are putting their puck. Has to be quick disconnect so I can move it from bike to bike without major surgery.

I hate that motorcycle they make me ride. I'm here to tell you there ain't nothing in the world I hate worse than that elephant under my ass.

Officer John Wintergreen reference his Electra Glide.

Iron aces (Power Vision), AND Ram mount (GPS), mounted with 2, 4 hole plates into inner fairing..... drilling required.

FLTRI, I have my Zumo mounted to the Iron Aces Mount and love it.
Give Chris or Lindsey a call, let them know you're a Forum Member.
They sometimes have specials going to save a few dollars.
As for the XM Antenna Puck I place mine in either glove box.
I don't use it all the time, so I just disconnect it and store it in the saddlebag.
It works fairly well there.
Others have it mounted above the radio in the fairing.
Hope this helps.
Best of Luck!
