CEE GLIDE vs Madstad anyone???

Just wondering what people have to say about the Cee Glide .
I bought a Madstad and It does work better than the stock 15" but I don't think I can get past the looks.
I almost bought a ssc but the guy at CeeBaileys told me to get the Cee Glide instead.
So for those that know how do they compare. Cee Glide vs Madstad???

No experience with the Ceeglide but I use to run the Screamin Eagle Retro. It is a 15 or 16. It is about the same shape as the Ceeglide. I liked it as far as how it handled the wind. Used it on a 7000 mile trip a couple years ago. Only quit using it because if found a TRSSC used on here. As far as the buffeting goes I can't really help you. I am on my third RG and I either have never had it or I just don't know what it is.

I had the Cee Glide before my Madstad and they are similar for wind deflection for the rider.
The problem was the Cee Glide didn't seem to offer anymore wind protection for the passenger than the stock shield.

I like the looks of the MadStad. It exudes technology, good engineering design. Form follows function; the function is to split and deflect the wind.

I can't offer a comparison between these two windshileds but I have the CeeGlide windshield. I have ridden behind it for 60,000 miles now and love it! I have the 13" dark smoke, but as said in a previous post, it doesn't offer a passenger great protection. My wife rides her own so I haven't had to worry about a passenger. I guess if I had to start carrying a passenger I would have to get to a light smoke and get a taller windshield to accomodate the passenger. The Madstad must be a great product as most everyone who trys them likes them, but I just can't get past the looks. I don't need no air, just no buffeting and the Ceeglide does this for me.

I don't want to go on a long sales pitch for Madstad but I do want to clear up a misconception that I have seen mentioned a few times.

Yes you can get less air with the Madstad. However that is one of the many benefits from having an adjustable shield. You can get as little or as much as you want. In the winter I keep it adjusted a little higher and forward to get less cold air. On the hotter days I bring it down and tilt it back more in line with the base plate to get a smooth stream of air. Still no buffeting, just a smooth, cooler ride all the way around. The MS is really no uglier than putting any other tall windshield on the bike. It's just not as photogenic.

From the seat I love the look of the madstad but what I love more is what it does, I can ruin it all the way down get clean air no buffeting with a nice breeze at low speeds, raise it up for the highway and at 80 it's comfortable my wife on the back.

I am still not a huge fan of the Madstad look. However, after several different windshields, I finally decided on the one that actually works.

It may not be sexy, but I've come to grips that it's not really *that* bad looking. (Definitely not as sexy as a stock toenail windshield).

As far as wind, I'll echo the fact that you still feel plenty of wind with the Madstad, but it is not turbulent.
