Painted windshield "Blitz Black"

I had read on the forum a while back that John Deere sells a paint color called Blitz Black that is a spot on match to Denim Black. I got to thinking and the stock windshield would look pretty darn cool color matched to the bike. I took a ride over to my nearest JD dealer and picked up a spray can of the paint and stopped at the auto parts store to grab a scotch Brite pad, some brake parts cleaner, and a tack rag. Here's a pic of how it came out. It is freshly painted so I will have to wait til tomorrow to install it but it looks like it will match nicely. I will add a pic of it installed asap.

Thanks. Seemed like a good "bang for your buck" mod.

Blitz Black is real close color match. Secret is several very light coats, if applied to heavy then it does get a little gloss to it.

looks like it would also be a great color for the inside bottom edge of the factory windshield. Somehow it seems that the factory edge treatment always gets scratched up.

Life is too short to put up with stupidity. Strive every day to educate someone, including yourself!
