Anyone NOT like their Madstad?

Has anyone put on a Madstad and not liked it? I have read lots of threads and I see lots of positive feedback. I also see where a few people are struggling to find the "sweet spot" but that seems to be a very few folks. I have seen a couple of posts from 2013 and 2014 where people have put them on, but their profile pic shows other shields. I don't know if they changed shields or just never updated the profile pic.

When i bought my 13 custom, I changed the windshield as soon as I got home. Put a 12" windvest on and it really made a difference. Last summer right before a 2500 mile ride I put a 14" on. Little more protection and I don't get a LOT of buffeting, but I get some. I also get a lot of wind noise.

Now I am considering the Madstad. I am 6'3" with long legs. Riding a DLL seat that moves me back and down a little so I am considering the 14.5" in the darkest tint available.

Thanks for the feedback

I hate mine. I mean riding all day in total comfort is not for me. I like the wind beating the crap out of me and I also like wasting money on 15 windshields hoping they will be as good as the MADSTAD because they look coolHahahahaha

Just get it and try it. I be you will love it like I do.

I remember at least 2 that were on here for sale. I believe both just couldn't get past the looks. I can't recall anyone saying they didn't work well. I have 2 and feel like it's the best $ I've ever spent on this bike.

My 13" Madstad works way better than my 15" Windvest, just for reference. Plus on real hot days I adjust the Madstad all the way down . Remember , the shield is just part of wind management on the RG.

2010 FLTRX , Stage 1, 13" Madstad, Mono tubes, SuperShox, Heritage style bars. Alpine CDE-HD149BT,Soundstream Picasso Nano Series PN4.520 , 5X7 and 6.5 Infinity Kappa speakers
If I have to explain ,you wouldn't under stand anyway.

I just bought 1 off of here. I will say the couple of short rides I have been on it's pretty nice. It took me a few days/weeks to get used to the looks but it is growing on me. The true test will be riding to Shark Week.

I have the GADS system already. Along with the 14" Windvest it is OK, but I just keep thinking that it could be better.

I know nobody wants to take a windshield off and back on but Madstad offers a money back guarantee. If you don't think it works send it back and try another type. It's something you should really give try if you want to improve wind management.

In my six years on the Roadglide, I can't recall ONE person that wasn't happy with the way the Madstad worked.

I simply don't like the way it looks so I have a short (8") klockwerks and a tall(15") Cee Baileys TRRSC Dome.

The argument of the looks of the Madstad can be compared to a 2-1 vs True Dual exhaust. Some people prefer the looks of a true dual set up where others prefer the performance of a 2-1. The customer service and the return policy with them is GREAT. I was able to keep running my 13 until my 14.5 arrived, just paid for shipping on the new 14.5 The best part is the adjustability of it, drop low when in town rolling around town, raise it up to the "sweet spot" for total comfort all day long. I've got a lot of compliments on mine which is rather surprising since here in So Cal most people are going for "Form" over "Function". Like I said in an earlier post a few months ago, it's NOT the sexiest shield out there but definitely the best performing. Bottom line, if you don't like it, just pay return shipping and send it back. I'll post some pics of my 14.5 when I get a chance.
