Tall Guys HELP - Klock Werks Flare

Fellas,
Been doing a lot of research not the Klock Werks Flare windshields on the 2015s. Lots of great stuff out there but I keep running into an issue I'm sure other tall guys run into. I'm 6'4" with a 36" inseam so I sit pretty high up in the saddle. The stock windshield doesn't work (no surprise there) and I've pretty much decided on a Klock Werks Flare. I've read a lot of good things but I haven't been able to read anything from someone who is 6'3" or taller. So I'm asking for some specific feedback from the guys out there who can have some experience. My goal is to reduce the wind on my face, eyes and ears but it sounds like the 14" sport flare is too short for that. For that reason I'm looking at the 12" Pro Touring which sits a little more vertical but I really want to hear from someone who's run one before I drop the cash.

Please feel free to reply on here or PM me. Thanks!

I am 6'3" and I have the 14" sport KW. it does a far better job than the stock but i wish it was just a little more vertical. I still get a little road debris and slight wind on the forehead. I talked to someone at KW and they suggested that I get the 12" Pro Touring, like you said it sits a little taller. I really hate to lose money on the shield i have but may look at getting a different one next riding season.

I really like the look of the new Freedom Sport Touring Shields, cheaper than the KW, hoping someone will give some reviews of it before i decide. Check it out here. Road Glide Windshield 2015

Let me know what you find and how it works for you.

I am a new RG owner, 6'3.5" and am also looking for a new windshield. I have been pointed towards the KW by the parts guy at the dealership where I bought my RG, but I look forward to getting information from someone else my size.

I'm 6'2'' have a 15" KW Pro Tour no wind on helmet, no wind on passenger to speak of. Been pleased some issues looking thru the shield on tight uphill turns other than that no issues.

Shadow,
It sounds like the 15" would do the job but I'm hoping the 12" will also.

Kenny, I hear what you're saying. I really like the look of the 14" sport and guys who aren't as tall love it from what I've heard. But the more I learn the more it's clear it won't be enough for me, which is a little disappointing. I looked into the Freedom shields and read some great detailed reviews but they almost all left out that one crucial piece of information - how tall they are, which for guys like us is what it all boils down to. I'm really hoping someone our height who runs one of those shields will be able to give a definitive answer but if nothing else I'll probably go with the 12" KW Pro Touring and come back to report the results.

The struggle is real!

I'm 6 '3' and just picked up a new RoadGlide Ultra CVO, I didn't particularly care for the stock windshield so I orderd and received a 14 inch Freedom Shields, light smoked windshield. Cost around 190.00 bucks. It really works well for me it keeps the wind directed over me including around me particularly at high speeds . It's a great looking windshield too boot! I also have a few pictures of my bike with the Freedom Shield Windshield on my Gallery pictures.

Clown Shoes look at the Freedom Shields website, they have one of the pictures that shows the vertical height with a picture of them measuring the height to ensure you can do your measurements the same way.

Hey man, that exactly what we're looking for. So you have the 14" Freedom shield - does the wind hit the top of your head at all or does it go over. I ask because I'm 6'4" or 6'5" but as long as it's at least at the top of my head I'm good. How is the wind noise? Are you able to hear your radio on the highway? Thanks again man.

Looks like Faulknershark is a regular Touring Freedom Shield. Wondering if the sport version has the same wind handling characteristics. Its a tough balance, you want to have a sleek like stock look but the wind protection of a full size shield. Guess it all depends on whats more important.
