Snap vents

I have been thinking about vents for older RG's, and remembered the ones that were used in windshields on Vetter faring's. A quick web search and I found they still make replacement snap vents!
What are the thoughts on this? Cut a 3.25" hole and snap them in. Maybe no more buffeting.

Interested if you have tried this?

I have a vent in my Clearview shield and sometimes have to wonder if it is really all that great. It may let air through, but does' do much aerodynamically to reduce the buffeting. Even the recurve seems to be insufficient.
