scrape fix?

Ok......so the Road Glide stock windscreen has that black section at the lower portion of the shield........

Mine has been scraped from multiple removal/installation

I have seen this on many Road Glides......

Is there any sort of fix? I know the best thing is to avoid scraping it......but once it is scraped. Is there a way to hide it or cover it up.

Anyone?

Cut N Shoot Hog Chapter, Patriot Guard Rider
'05 FLTRI, Stage 1 setup and gear driven cams installed.
'12 FLTRU, Stage 1 setup, cams and tuner installed.

Sand the inside with 400 gt sandpaper and repaint it.

Is that paint? I thought it was some sort of vinyl coating or something.

Thanks

It should be flat paint . It really doesn't matter though. Mask off what your going to sand . Sand out the scratches . Clean & remask ,find a plastic friendly paint and spray 3 or 4 light coats. Use a flat or satin sheen.

Remove the shield
Make pattern against the inner fairing outside
Of area you want blacked, like on the inner with paper of the area you want it to look like on the shield

Take that pattern and flip it to the inside the shield, like if you use a black film

something like that
