Madstad for 2017

Does anyone here have a Madstad for a 2017 Road Glide Special? I had one on my 2013 and loved it but want to know if there are any issues with the new fairing design. Thanks

Have it on my '15 no issues. '17 has the same fairing. IMO the MadStad got 15 up looks even better than the original, flows with the shape of the newer fairing better.

Running a Mastad on '16 Special, would run nothing else.

Just wondering why you'd need one with the vents? Seems counter-intuitive. Don't get me wrong, I have one on my '13 RG ultra but it doesn't have the vents so....

For me it's all about "air flow"; the Madstad on my '15 RGS gets the wind off of my chest, which for me is exhausting especially at highway speeds, and protects my head from buffeting, yet still provides enough air for cooling comfort. I don't like where the vents direct the air. And it's adjustable for different riding conditions. Just my $0.02 worth.

For me, it was the windy days, cold days and rainy days that made the decision for me. If i close the vents with the other shields that I tried, my head was like a bobble head at highway speeds. The Madstad can be ran with the vents open or closed with the same effect.

I don't always run the vents open. I like the ability to adjust the shield per weather conditions. I also went with the quick detach brackets so I can just run the base plate during the summer. I did not want to have multiple shields.
