Just pees me off

This is the second time in less than two years that the splined shaft for the shifter and the arm between the splined shaft and the shift linkage has stripped out on this bike ..

Go Figger , my 52 , 71 and 77 have never failed me yet ...

since it is stripped twice maybe you could take this one and drill it for a set screw that you could tighten after install not rely on the pinch bolt to hold it tight .

Happened to me twice on my 05King. Once at 30K and again at 65K. Only on the toe side. I think it is because I press pretty hard down while in first. (making sure I am in first)

05 Road Glide, 40K miles, waiting on my appointment to have the splined shaft replaced. I'm not happy either.

just went and bought the shaft $22 , figgers didnt have the arm in stock

I read somewhere they make one with a zerk fitting. I will go this route next time.

dont know when they quit cause I went from an '88 TG to this '08 RG and the splined shaft housing used to have a grease fitting on it ..
