Why are handlebar vendor measurements so unreliable? The ANSWER!

We simply have no reliable comparative measurements we can use. Just consider how some vendors measure "Pull Back" and "Height"

Harley Davidson says "Pull Back" is the distance from the centerline of the base tubing to the centerline of the grip-end tubing when the rising section of the bars is pressed up against a wall.

Harley:

Flanders uses "Height", not "Rise", and says "Height" is the distance from the leading edge of the clamp area tubing to the trailing edge of the grip area tubing when the grip area is pressed up against the ceiling.

...and now the most interesting of these examples - Wild Ones.

Wild Ones says "Pull Back" is the distance between the leading edge of the clamp area tubing to the trailing edge of the grip area tubing when the rising section of the bars is aligned with your scoot's neck angle/triple tree.

WOW! Therefore you can modify you own "Pull Back" (and "Rise") if you own a set of Wild Ones. All you need to do is roll your bars FWD or back a bit.

Neat huh!

Bring 'em home or send us back!!

I agree, I have gone thru many sets of bars looking for the right pullback and its soooooo hard to determine what to get by looking at catalog! Ended up with Wild1 16" apes and rolled them forward a bit. Spent lots of money on bars!!!! have 2 sets of 16"apes for sale if anyone is looking..;-))
