Cool Sinister Hot Rod Drag Bars

Anyone running the Sinister Industries Hot Rod Drag Bars on their Road Glide ? If so did you have to change out any cables or wiring or throttle by wire to make these work ? I just ordered some and the website says you can use stock everything but HD shop seems to think otherwise. Help please. Thanks

The HD shop wants you to buy everything. Thru 3 days of research here, I've found that most bars with 12" or less rise need new cables. I'm sure someone with more experience will chime in shortly.

Well Sinister Industries Hot Rod Drag Bars are on the new scoot and I like them !! Good news is no additional parts are required to install these bars on the RG. The only drawback is the bar coming across the middle cuts your gauges in half so you don't see your speedo needle until you get up to about 40 mph or so. I can live with that, the look and feel of these bars is great !!

Yeah,
I started to install these today . . .
Got em on and almost wired.
Having the usual internal wire trouble but all will work with the stock stuff.

I think these bars are really nice.

I helped a forum member install those bars last year this time.... I didn't have to change any cables or wires, took me about 3hrs. BTW welcome to the forum.

Mechanics will tell you other parts are needed because 1) the shop gets more $$ and 2) the mechanic can charge more labor hours. Do your research BEFORE you have work done! As well as find a trustworthy mechanic or friend to do them. HD shops will ALWAYS try to treat you like your dumb.
