Bagger apes

didn't see a thread discussing this so sorry if this has been asked already

I'm 6'2", have a 2010 stock FLTRX, wanting the wider bars, DRESSER APES,
not sure if the 11" santee dresser apes or the 14" dresser apes would be a better choice....

I realize they come back at the base and look a bit antlerish but

coming from a 93 softail, everything was a whole lot closer, pegs, bars, smaller frame, lower seat, lepera solo

I will more than likely get the 2011 seat 52320-11 a great deal really

any thoughts, I'd be happy riding with my arms straight out, at shoulders, above okay too, but maybe not more than two inches above.

other considerations are, wire pulling, spicing, getting the grips off and then back on, especially with the TBW and all,

I'll also be throwing in the cruise module while I have the bike apart.

opinions, thoughts?

11 or 14?

Bagger Werx. There bars come prewired and with chrome controls. $495 any size and you just need you cables and grips.

I definitely like the price of the santee bars, around $120 shipped with pull wire...

don't want chrome controls, my bike is denim, the black ones work okay

I will just have to find a shop that has some bars in stock and check them out.

I'd kinda assume the 11" dresser apes would install without new wires or cables.

the santees are almost half the price, with a little less pullback

10" PYO Monkeys! I had these lined up w/forks for bout 3,000 miles. I just adj. them, and jacked them up a 1" or 2. They are my first set of Apes I've ever had, on a bike. I'm 6'3".

Agree with Neano62 on this one (he actually helped me in my decission and sent me wiring diagram to boot). I put the same 10" Yafee Monkey Bars (which actually measure out closer to 12's) and lined them up with the forks as well. At 6'2", this is a perfect set up for me and love these bars!

So with the Yaffee's you don't need new cables or extensions?
