Install question on Reduced Reach bars

Hubby is thinking of getting the Harley Reduced Reach Bars. Question is ... will he have to replace cables? The book indicates you MIGHT, and like he says, the deal will obviously tell you yes, you have to so they can sell more parts, make more money

Anyone know the answer for sure?
