Wild1 Handlebar Control question ~~

This is for those out there who have or have had Wild1's -- either the 515/502 or 610/612 Outlawz. I have boiled it down to these. This is not about height, that's a more personal question I need to deal with.

I'm curious about your thoughts on riding position. I have read many threads that the Outlawz provide better control if better handling is what your looking for. The 502's look to me to provide a more relaxed laid back ride, which is what I'm looking for. Would like to know any and all thoughts or opinions.

Thanks

Here's a pic of 12 inch outlaws. They give you excellent control. They are more z bar like for the wrist position than the wild ones. Those seem to be wider and more pullback to them. I ride pretty relaxed and love these. Although they handle excellent.

Personally I don't think you can go wrong with either bar you choose. It comes down to width and pullback. The outlaws are a little narrower and not as much pullback. And they look cooler. . Pain in the ass to wire though.

I have the 612 on a 11 fltru, I have them straight in line with the forks and I couldn't be happier. I am vertically challenged at 5'6 and they are perfect for me and they look great.

I've had both. The 515 on my 04 and 08 Glides. Currently have the 612 on my 12. I was amazed at the increased comfort with the 612 -- for me -- the wrist angle is perfect. DOOF

I am also 5'6" Could you post some pictures of the bike and one side view with you setting on the bike? I would appreciate it I am looking to do something different. I put 2+2 sweepers on and i dont really like them so they probably won't be on long.

I have the 502,s. These are wider and have more pullback than the outlaw bars. The width and pullback work really well together. Im not a small guy at 6' and 300+ lbs and i have zero problems maneuvering the bike at any speed

Great feedback all, just what I'm looking for. Seems though, the only way I'm gonna know for sure is buy both and test fit. 502's/612's. Return shipping and a restocking fee is a small price to pay to make sure.

lax.. bike looks awesome, thanks for the pic/comments. Do you have to lean forward to reach those?

rlaf..not quite your size (5'10/170) but looking for that relaxed feel. Had 12.5" drag spec on my FLSTCI and loved them. The 36.5 width makes the wrist angle almost the same as the 612's according to Wild1 website.

Brian/doof, do you lean forward to reach your bars? I actually want to be leaning back a bit into the back rest. It's better for my "aged" back.

Thanks again!

Well decision made. Between all posts I've read on this forum and being able to test fit both (only real way). Went with the WO502's. Figured while i was at it, why not chrome the front end too. Will be a nice way to enter the new year.

Thanks all!
