Black Bars and Scuffing from mounts?

Those of you with black bars ever have issues with scuffing from say, a Ram mount for a phone, GPS unit or tuner?

I'm close to pulling the trigger on some bars and this never crossed my mind before.

I currently use a RAM mount for my phone and was going to mount my PV for some auto tuning.

On top of that, if I go with a 1.5" bar, would those clamps even fit?

They do scuff a bit on install of clamps.

Maybe try taping the bars off except for the area where the mount is going and spray it with some black plasti dip. Probably look better than electrical tape. just an idea.

This idea has crossed my mind actually, but I may switch my Ram mount to the one that attaches to my brake res.
