I ordered from DR.V-Twin November 2 and after stuck in Canada Custom for about week they finally arrived in great shape even though the box was beat all to h3LL. I can harley wait to get 'em installed even though I won't be able to test ride now for about 4 or 5 months.

Thanks to Drew for hooking me up with a great deal.

I may have to call on some experienced members when I get into the install for internal wiring tips. I think some one did a great pictorial and instructions on internal wiring and install of the beauties. BUT first I have to finish the house mods for the wifey....paint, counter tops, sink, etc....all part of the trade for bike mods.
cheers!

Keep the faith man, they'll show up. Mine are the 10" bars and were in stock at time of order. Did you order chrome or Black?

Here's a shot with a tape measure

Now I have to find the time for install...I have all winter I guess:cool:

Hey Joke
They were $360 bones PLUS shipping ($45) plus Canada Customs($31.02) Why Customs needed a slice is beyond me. Oh ya they threw in a Dr T-shirt. I haven't got my credit card bill yet to see what the exchange rate was but I think it was close to par. I had more than enough set aside in my budget (at least thats my story and I'm sticken' to it)

BUT before I do any thing I need to clean up the garage so I can install the bars. Some of you will know what I'm talking about. Weather seal/insulate, put the heat on, put the coolers away, roll out the lawnmower to the shed in the back yard and roll in the snow blower. Then I'll have room to get busy. Bunch of pieces to come off for the powder coater along with the fairing removal to install MY NEW BARS...woohoo!!!:D:D:D

Thanks - same here, winterize/put up the power washer, put the lawn chairs away, get the Xmas tree down, sell the Vette to make room in the garage to work on the bike; I already brought the heater in from the shed cuz I had to work on the car (multi-switch went out). Those bars are too expensive for my taste; was hoping Dr V-T was a lot cheaper! :D Guess it's still the Heritage Bars then...

Oh ya...and get the snow blower out too!!!!

Sorry to hear about the delay you guys are having. I ordered through Dr. V-Twin and they didn't charge my card until they were shipped. I think they must have an arrangement with Yaffee for faster shipping. Keep the faith.

Well, I guess I am not the only one then. I also ordered from Dr, V-Twin and have not been charged yet. I also can not get any info about my order through Yaffe. They tell me to contact the company I purchased from. Seems like Yaffe doesn't really give a crap about customer satisfaction

I think if Yaffee was the only one that had his hands on the product we would see or should I say FEEL a little different. I'm NOT taking anyones part here, by no means!
But when you get DUMB-ASSes underneath you, and they are NOT being TRUTHFULL w/the Man thats putn his stamp on the product, that can cause sum SERIOUS DRAMA! Like I said,...and dont cum down on me for sayn what I'm sayn,... I've x-perianced PERSONALLY,....and I understand what you and everybody else is stating.
Employee THEFT is the WORST THEFT you can get!,....whether it cums in the form of product going to the customer damaged, late, or whatever the case mite b, Yaffee himself is pretty cool. I've cussed and hollored myself, but it is what it is!

Oh well, I will just have to keep waiting.
Waiting,....

That should be Yaffe's moto. If you want a Yaffe part, and the company your buying from doesnt have it on the shelf,.. get ready to learn what patience is. They sure don't get in a hurry out there in Arizona.

Ok with Christmas out of the way I was able to roll up my sleeves and get busy with the install. First part took a couple hours but went pretty well. Faring disassembly, removal of the stock bars. Pulled the wire connectors apart for internal wiring was easy. Those Deutsch connectors are cool. Pulling the wires through the bars was a struggle but in half an our we had it. I just left the stock bulky plastic tubing on the wires and figured I give it a shot...it went.

Installing the Monkey Bars was more of a challenge than I expected.
Caution!!! if you bend the metal wire connector that has to go back in the Deutsch connector don't try to straighten it because it will break. Best thing to do here is don't bend it to start with. So I'll have to take a trip over to the indy shop and ask if they can solder on a new one for me.

Finally the last hurdle is getting the brake line re-routed and straightened to fit and also the clutch cable routing....lots of trial and error here. I wonder if there is much difference from 2005 to 2009,2010,2011 clutch and brake lines?
