Sticking throttle

OK. I have an 04. Bought used. The handle bars were not stock, they were a little shorter . The throttle stuck. So i replaced the bars with stock ones, put new grips on and oiled the cables. It still sticks. My kids street glide snaps back imediatly. Everything looks ok. Check the spring on the throttle body. All ok
Could the cables be too long? I bAsically have to operate the throttle oped and closed. Any help?

That should be able to be adjusted out if the cables are good. The adjustment will be on the throttle side of the push pull cables. When you oiled them did you manually work the cable by hand ?

Make sure you didn't slide the housing inboard to far. The grip could be sticking on the end of the bar.

Also check your throttle lock if it doesn't have cruise control.

On the end of the cables. (Throttle side).
