Carlini Menace Handlebars.... Review?

I have an open discussion in another thread regarding the Factory 47 Malo's, versus the Carlini Menace 1.5" bars, and I am getting a TON of great feedback, I have narrowed my height down to the 16" 1.5" bars in probably black, from either, but I have received probably 30 responses and pics and reviews of the F47 bars.. and literally 0 for the Carlinis. So I thought I would start a new one in hopes of thoughts on that bar specifically.

So, does anybody run those Carlini Menace Bars on their RG? If not, know anybody that does? Pros and cons? Comfort (anyone with 16"s would be sweet) and quality of product? Pics are awesome too!!

This forum is a life saver for research guys I really appreciate the feedback.

Thanks!!

They look beautiful in the web page or carlini, although I don’t have them (I have the HD Fat Apes).

I like the very little pullback (7”) that I think wouldn’t need ti remove the pin for a cool look rolling them forward.

I also love the option of pre-wire that I would definetly get if I bought them.

I know nothing about their quality, so there is a question mark of this until you get some reviews on them.

Good luck and if you get them, I think you will enjoy them.

Carlini is 2nd to none in quality. No one else out the makes a better quality set of handlebars. I can't speak to the comfort as I have never run those bars and it would be hard for me to say that what I like will be the same for you. I would just see if I could try as many different handlebars as I could by sitting on friends bikes or used bikes at dealerships and find out what the specs are then make your decision from there. It's a lot of work but it gives you the best chance to get what fits you the first time.

Yeah see that's the problem..... I have ridden everyone's bike that I know, several that I don't know (lol), and have been hanging around at the locally HD dealers so much they're getting sick of me, and still can find NOBODY with a pair of Carlini 16" apes, or for that matter the 16" Malo's either.
I have sat (and ridden) so other varying brands of 16" bars recently which is what helped me make my decision on the height in the first place, I like them better than the 14"s, but as far as the two bars in particular I am interested in, I am afraid it is all reviews, pictures, opinions (if I can even find any!) and luck.

If you have found a set of bars that you like all you have to do is see what the specs are for those bars like width, pull back, and rise. Then all you have to do is see if the Carlini or F47 match those specs. That will tell you how that set of bars will feel or at least very close.

Hey BRIT206,

I had the carlini 16" gangsta apes on my deluxe with la pera bare bones. I loved them and fit the look of my deluxe well. They make great stuff I also had the ac and risers, all great quality. As for guys with RG running those bars, doesn't seem all that popular. I just went with the Harley chizeled lo bars on my RGS. The 16" carlini were comfortable for me, I am 6'1. Do the carlini bars fit on the RG's? Here's a pic of my deluxe, hope this helps let me know if you have other questions.

I don't know which model they were, but emerald coast Harley had a set on a Road Glide and I liked the wrist angle so much more than the chiseled bars.

Carlini Menace Handlebars.... Review?

I’ve ran the 16” Menace apes on both my 2018 & 2013 CVOs. 1.25” due to hydraulic clutches. Top notch quality & service. I’m biased and wouldn’t consider any other brand. 6’2” with 34 inseam

I've had 16" Carlini Flying Apes on my Fatboy, 14" Gangsta Apes on my Fatboy and !2" Flying Apes on my CVO Springer. All great bars. I now have 12" Factory 47 Signature bars on my Road Glide Special. They are just as high quality as the Carlinis. Doubt you could go wrong with either brand.
