riser bushings for 12 in bars?

it doesn't seem like guys are installing riser bushings with 12-14 inch bars on these bikes. aren't they needed with the taller bars?

Stock bushings work well in mine. 12 bars in for the last 5 years.

I replaced the stock bushings on my 13" vindiktas, but I don't think I needed to. You will get a little more vibration with poly bushings. I think stock is fine.

I replaced the stock bushings on my 15RGS when i went with 12" bars. The new polyurethane bushings were huge compared to the thin wimpy stock ones i removed. I attached a pic of
the thin stock HD bushing i removed. It does not compare to the aftermarket ones.

After recently doing mine (went from 13" bars to 16" bars) I'd say that for the time and money it's not a necessity unless you go taller than 14". I had the stock bushings with my 13" Road 6 Custom bars for a year and 1/2. Never had any problems, gripes or complaints. I am glad that I changed them out for my 16" bars though.

A word of advice, if you decide to swap them out have a buddy come over and help. Having an extra set of hands was a god send when I did mine.
