HCC bars

I bought a set of HCC, fully assembled apes for my bike early this year (second set I have bought from them). I let the bars sit on my shelf for three months while my bike was being painted. When they were finally installed I noticed a spot, right by my throttle side controls where the copper coat was showing through the chrome. I remembered reading in their packaging to "inspect for defects immediately since there is only 30 days to return" so I tried to ignore the spot. Well the first time I washed the bike I noticed a lot more copper showing all over the bars. I couldnt live with that, so I braced myself for a battle and called HCC to see if there was anything that could be done. I left a message at the shop and within 30 minutes was called back by Freddy (who I had dealt with on the purchase) he told me without hesitation, "send them back, we will build you a new pair and turn them around in a day". Apparently they warrant the chrome for a full year.
I have read about folks having problems with these guys before, everything from you cant get them on the phone, to poor customer service, but I have to say, after two purchases, these guys are great. I have never been able to call in and get someone to answer, but they always call me back in a timely manner. Feddy has always been helpful. I have even been to the "shop", (it is actually just a shipping depot on the owners ranch). This is a first class operation.

Well I'm glad they took care of u maybe all the other cust. They screwed they realized it. Because my bars were 3 days old and I had the full setup with chrome switches and housing and when they were mounted if u hint the horn lights would blink etc wiring was screwed up I had to rewire them they said that the checked them before they left factory. Whatever but I will never deal with them again

Dang, sorry to hear that. Mine worked flawlessly, had the same set up, complete bars with chrome controls, just had the problem with the chrome. On the first set I bought from them I got the kit and they were very helpful through the whole process(although I would never assemble the kit myself every again, nor recommend it).
Sorry you had a bad experience, but mine has been pretty positive to this point.
