Help with bars

Just starting the research process. I have 2012 RG CVO w/ stock bars. I am 5-8 and on long rides feel my arm position is not optimal - stretching too far forward - right hand actually gets numb.

Been reading as many of the handlebar related threads as possible.

Seems 10" apes may give me the pullback I need - especially if I angle them back a bit. Also seems I can use most of the stock cables/wiring?

Thought/suggestions from others who have been through this would be appreciated.

Thanks!

Go with the 10". I went with chubby's wild one - others have gone with the 10" mini apes that are in the Harley Catalog (made for Road Glide) - the HD are a bit too narrow for my liking. Cheers!

I have 12" Wild 1 Outlawz. Wiring fits, cable is close but ok. But the wrist angle for me is a little off. I pulled back a bit more and they are better. Will try a bit more but after that is back to the drawing board. Good luck its part of the game.

I went with Klock Werks Ergo up Bars, basically wide 10 inch with really relaxed hand position. I am 601 with a 34 inseam, and they fit me great. I have them pushed forward a little, but you could pull them back easily. I also was able to keep my stock cables and wires, plenty of room, no extensions needed.

Im about to go with 16inch apes in the next month or two. If your still shopping, I will have my bars up here for sale for cheap.

Good luck!
