Wild 1 Reaper apes got em!

Well I got my reaper apes and must say I love the finish and craftsmanship of these bars will be mounting them up after Xmas, getting my wiring from namz , but I am gonna need a extended brake cable not so sure on my clutch because it's +4 over stock, my new bars are 14 inch which I haven't mounted but seem to be the perfect height for me, I didn't want my hands over my shoulder, any suggestions on brake line would be appreciated, just want basic black nothing fancy thanks. Once installed I will do a review and post pics.

Congrats! I put 12” Chubby bars on my 2011 RGU. I changed the clutch line, it wouldn’t reach and will change the brake line soon. The brake reached but barely. I got a custom line from Barnett. I had them add 4 inches and a 90 degree fitting so the line hugged the bar a little better. I’ll do the same for the brake and hopefully the dealer will install it when they do the ABS warranty flush. It was about $100 for the line. After reading about leaky aftermarket lines I felt it was worth it.

I ordered the clutch and brake lines from Magnum 2 weeks ago for my JSR 16" bars, pearl black. Was told there is a 3-5 week backorder on them. I got a +6 (49") clutch (AS47015) and a +4 (19") brake (AS47619) with 180* banjo fittings. bike is a 2016.

I am looking forward to the end result, my glide needed a little something in the handlebar area, i have Khromewerks 2+2s and they are much better than stock but the one thing that bothered me was that they are only one inch, these are 1.25, they look also way better and a little higher. During this project i will be also upgrading to Eagle eyes daymakers and a powerport inside the glove box so i can charge my phone or ipod with no wires hanging out.

Wild 1 makes some very good handlebars. Iíve had two sets of theirs and was very happy with them.
As far as cables go I also use Magnum Shielding and their products as well as their customer service are awesome.
If you call them and tell them what you are doing they will set you up with the right size.

If anyone knows this answer please feel free to let me know, I am doing 14 inch apes, I am figuring that +8 wires are good or shud I go +4? I am thinking those will be too short I have a 11.5 inch rise bar now with stock wires, this bar is 4 inches over stock, so the reapers are another 4 so I am guessing +8 is this a correct assumption?

Road dawg, get a hold of John Pollock at Wild 1, he'll definitely give you the right info you need.
You can reach him at (714)536-5869 or [email protected].
John is a great guy and was a member of Our Great Forum as wild1techguy. I haven't seen him around here in a while though.
Hope this helps.

These are nice bars but a big if, if your running throttle by wires they are a major pain in the ass to run the wires thru the right side, if they were standard apes probably not so bad, but these sharp bends truly make life miserable, thinking about returning these and getting standard apes.

Well after years of running wires internally the pointed bars are definitely alot harder, but it got done, learned a few tricks and made up some curse words in the process I will post pics soon.
