Finally recieved my new bar setup.

Well after a few months of determining what I wanted to go with, my parts finally came in yesterday. Gotta say, I am going to like this narrower bars, the ones the pervious owner installed are nice but to wide for me. Also got the Kraus 12" Kickback riser and their gauge relocation bezel. Hopefully I can get to installing them this weekend.

Wow, that Kraus piece is krazy expensive. Would like to see a pic of it installed.

Yea, it is expensive! But it's the Bezel that really drive the cost of the conversion up. After looking at other quality riser / T-bar setups the price point on the riser and bar is just a little above other comparative parts. I looked at West Coast T-Bar's, the new Heavy Hitters from Lucky Dave's, the MJK parts, FXR Division bars, Bung King and Spadafora over the last few months. I really wanted a setup where the bars and risers were to separate pieces for a little adjustability. While I was in California last month I went to Laidlaw HD and they had a RG with the 10" Kickback on the Raptor Plate (offset plate), the gauge bezel and the bars (all from Kraus). I sat on the bike multiple times on a few different visits. The setup felt almost perfect, the reach was great, as was the width, the only thing I didn't like was the height, it was a little low. So I broke out the calculator and started doing some geometry to figure out roughly where the bars sat on that bike, then did the same with the parts offered by Kraus. Based on my math these 12" risers and no offset plate should put the bars roughly within half an inch of the same reach and roughly 2" higher compared to the ones on that bike. The quality of the parts appears to be perfect.

My biggest concern at the moment is the cables and harness', I hope they reach. The bezel is a big factor, I can mount it, but the harness may need to be lengthened to put the gauges where I want. I hope I can get this all setup with limited expenses on extra replacement parts.

I will get pics up as soon as I am done.

Got the risers, bars and gauge bezel all installed. Only issue I had was when I went to install my grips. About a month ago I added the HD Airflow heated grips to the bike, but when I went to add them to these bars it was a no-go. The built in internal temp control housing in the left grip is to large in diameter to slide into the inner diameter of the bar due to the extra thickness of the wall. So needless to say new grips are on order.

Here are some pics of the change.

Lookin' good. I'm heading that same direction, except I'll be making my own risers (I hope to start my own machine shop in the garage soon).
What bars are you running? Looks like the Forbidden/Fly bars

I used to run the R&D machine shop for a company I worked for years ago, I really miss the one off work, it was fun having some creative power.

Yes those are the bars.

Agreed. I worked for a couple small shops that let you do "government work" if it didn't affect shop work. Now I'm at A HUGE shop with over 930 full-time employees, no such thing as personal jobs there
